Become a monthly sponsor and help open doors of opportunity for a child in San Jose

By giving a child an opportunity to be a part of the Third Street Community Center’s Inspire Young Minds Initiative, you will be helping us change the trajectory for academically at-risk children in San Jose.

Our Initiative reaches over 125 children a year by providing three community based programs for children living in high risk neighborhoods in downtown San Jose.

Your support of $25/month will help us inspire local children to dream of a future that includes a college education.

As a Padrino or Madrina, you will receive:

Making A Donation By Check
Not too comfortable with giving online? Don't worry, we also accept donations by check. Please make it payable to TSCC and mail it to: Third Street Community Center, 160 N. 3rd Street, San Jose, CA 95112. After we receive your gift, we'll mail you an acknowledgment letter.

Donating Physical Items
If you have items you'd like to donate, we do accept new and very gently used books (child appropriate), lined or blank paper, sports equipment in good condition, and other teaching and/or classroom appropriate supplies. Gift cards to places like Office Depot, Staples, Costco, or Target are always useful and gladly accepted. Sorry, but we do not accept used car seats, furniture, or old computers or printers.

Group or Team Donation
If you are unsure what to give or would like to make a special donation to benefit a specific program or project, please contact our office at 408 - 295 - 8722 to discuss your ideas. At times, this has been the best approach by university clubs/groups, teams of corporate  employees, or church groups. We have many needs so we really appreciate you reaching out to us to discuss our current needs. Ideas that have worked well include organizing a book drive, asking individuals from your group to sponsor a child for the holidays, and more.
